SAN LUIS OBISPO - Men's Basketball held on to defeat Allan Hancock 67-65 in their opening game of the Cuesta Rabobank Tournament on Friday.
"It's a great feeling to win your first game of the season," head coach Rusty Smith said. "With the game tied we had three straight big defensive positions and got stops and were able to knock down 5 of 6 free throws to seal the deal."
Kentrey Bynum led the Giants with 19 points and six rebounds. Austin Armstead had 16 points and four assists in the win.
COS will play Cuesta in the second game of the tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
