FRESNO - Turnovers plagued the College of the Sequoias men's basketball team in Wednesday's 81-55 loss to Fresno City.
COS (10-11, 4-3 CVC) committed 22 of them and the Rams scored 34 points off of the Giant's mistakes.
Fresno City (18-4, 7-0 CVC) jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead and never looked back. Sequoias never led at any point during the game, and they were down 35 points to the Rams with 3:13 remaining in the second half.
Isaiah Johnson had a team-high 20 points for COS in the defeat. He was 6-of-10 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the arc.
With the loss, Sequoias moves into a five-way tie for second place in the conference.
COS will host last place Cerro Coso on Saturday. Tip off at Porter Field House is set for 5 p.m.
