Preview: Men's Basketball looking to get back on track this Saturday
After Wednesday's 81-55 loss to Fresno City, the College of the Sequoias men's basketball team have a great opportunity to bounce back and get a win.
On Saturday COS (10-11, 4-3 CVC) will host last place Cerro Coso at Porter Field House. The Coyotes have not won a game in the Central Valley Conference and their only win this season was to Cal Lutheran's Junior Varsity team.
Cerro Coso (1-15, 0-7 CVC) is in the midst of a 10-game losing streak and average 60 points a game.
This is not the first meeting between COS and Cerro Coso this season. The two teams played on Jan. 4 and the Giants led the entire game, winning 84-49.
Sequoias forward Kentrey Bynum will look to get his second double-double of the season on Saturday. The El Diamante High alum torched the Coyotes in the first game with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
COS guard Austin Armstead will look to get back on track after a quiet 6 point game against Fresno City on Wednesday. Armstead contributed a game-high 21 points in the previous meeting with Cerro Coso. The Bullard High alum has scored 20 or more points six times this season.
Tip off is set for 5 p.m. at Porter Field House.
