Great prizes are up for grabs in this year's Final Four Extravaganza Fundraiser
The COS men's basketball team's Final Four Extravaganza Fundraiser has something for everyone. The fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 5 at Porter Field House.
"The Final Four Extravaganza is a way for our men's basketball program to augment its budget," head coach Rusty Smith said. "We need funds for the basic necessities of travel. Being in the Central Valley, we have to travel to our tournaments and that takes quite a bit of money when you look at the cost of hotels, meals, tournament entry fees, etc., for 18 to 20 people."
Live-auction items include:
•A week's vacation in a Cabo San Lucas resort
•An exclusive Los Angeles Dodgers package for four that allows the winner to go on to the field (along with other included perks)
•Four court-side seats at eight Sacramento Kings games in their new Golden 1 Center
•A golf outing at Poppy Hills Country Club for four
•A framed, plus signed jersey of former Fresno State and current Raiders quarterback Derek Carr
Along with the live auction items, there will also be between 30 and 40 silent-auction items. Some of the silent-auction prizes are tickets to a Golden State Warriors game, and tickets to a Los Angeles Clippers game.
The grand prize in the reverse draw is two tickets, all expenses paid, to the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
