
No. 6 Giants win 10th straight game
The state's sixth-ranked COS Giants women's basketball team keep soaring to new heights.
With Saturday's 75-40 win over West Hills-Lemoore, the Giants (23-3, 10-0 CVC) extended their winning streak to double digits.
COS won their 10th straight game with the help of Idalis Rubalcava's double-double. The sophomore guard had a team-high 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Golden Eagles' guard Taylor Vasquez nailed a three-pointer to go up 3-0 with 8:55 remaining in the first quarter. That was the closest West Hills would come to upsetting COS.
The Giants went on a 23-0 run to close out the first quarter, and didn't allow the Golden Eagles to score again until 7:17 left in the second quarter.
Sequoias was able to do most of their damage on West Hills' turnovers. The visitors committed 35, with COS scoring 41 points off of them.
Next up for the current Central Valley Conference leader's is a road game at Reedley. COS defeated the Tigers 78-54 earlier this season.
