Idalis Rubalcava named CVC MVP, and several other Giants receive honors
Next time Idalis Rubalcava goes to the free throw line, expect the Sierra Pacific alum to get some 'MVP' chants.
The sophomore guard was named Central Valley Conference Most Valuable Player, averaging 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.6 steals in conference play.
Rubalcava is currently on a three game double-double streak and led COS to an outright CVC title.
Dojahnae Senegal, Alyssa Gonzales, and Zharia McCollum were named to the All-CVC First Team, respectively.
The trio have anchored the starting five to a perfect 10-0 record at Porter Field House this season.
Imari Russell and Greissen Leslie were also named to the All-CVC Second Team, respectively.
The Giants will host Sacramento City on Saturday, in the second round of the NorCal Regional. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
