
No. 6 COS stay undefeated in conference
REEDLEY - No. 6 COS extended their win streak to 11 straight games Wednesday, with a 84-49 victory over Reedley.
Giants (24-3, 11-0 CVC) guard Idalis Rubalcava led the way with a double-double. The sophomore from Hanford had 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Forcing turnovers has been Sequoias specialty this season. They caused Reedley to commit 35, and COS took advantage.Sequoias scored 38 points off of the turnovers and had 8 points on fast breaks.
COS also had a helping hand from their bench, as they contributed 45 points. Zharia McCollum led the group with 10.
Next up for the Giants is rival Fresno City on Saturday. The two met last month in Fresno, with COS winning 83-75.
The Giants sit atop the Central Valley Conference standings at 11-0, with the Rams in second place at 10-1. Sequoias is guaranteed a share of the conference title, and can win outright with a victory this weekend.
Tip off is set for 5 p.m. and all fans are encouraged to wear white to participate in the "White Out" game.
